Once the decision to go ahead with a production is made, clubs must
(1) purchase a minimum set of scripts, that is, corresponding to the number of speaking parts in the cast, plus one
(2) inform Spotlight as soon as possible and in any case, no later than four weeks prior to the production, of the following details:
title of play, name of club, number of performances, dates of these performances, and name and address of the venue
Please note that a club cannot proceed with a production until royalties have been paid and a certificate issued
ELECTRONIC SCRIPTS
Electronic scripts are now available as an alternative to paper scripts. They are in pdf format which are read-only, that is, they can be read and printed but not changed.
A licence to print up to 50 copies costs £75.00.
For comparison, a set of fifteen paper scripts costs £90.00.
Electronic reading scripts are now available, priced £10, but clubs may only read one script. If they then go ahead with a production the £10 is deducted from the full £75 cost.
