This compelling play by Les Clarke is about friendship, blackmail, revenge and love within a group of teenage friends. The cast is three girls and three boys (all 17-18).

Plot Summary
Kelly, Jodie and Shaza are good mates. Kelly wants out of a relationship with Chris, who is arrogant and domineering, but is afraid of what he might do to her. Chris humiliates Gavin, a computer nerd who is despised by the girls. Kelly meets her new boyfriend Stuey secretly but Gavin finds out and threatens to tell Chris. Later Kelly becomes pregnanat and resolves to keep the baby. Meanwhile Gavin has got a big surprise in store for Chris ...

Jodie, Kelly & Shaza are all centre stage. Jodie and Kelly are looking at a text message on Shaza’s phone

Kelly That’s disgusting!
Jodie I wasn’t sure what I was looking at to start with!
Shaza (proudly) You’re only jealous the pair of ya!
Kelly No way!
Jodie (flatly) Yeah right!

Gavin enters

Kelly Oh God no he’s coming over!

Shaza puts her phone in her bag

Quick talk to me, talk to me! I don’t want to talk to him, he’s such a creep, you know he’s gonna start on me!
Shaza (sending her up) It’s only cos he fancies ya!
Kelly Aargh! Drop dead! He makes my flesh crawl he’s such a nerd. I mean he’s always got that stupid train spotters anorak on. I mean wow … trendy or what!

The girls crack up

Jodie (to Kelly) So did you see Chris last night then or what?
Shaza Or what yeah!

Shaza and Jodie laugh

Gavin walks across to the girls

Gavin Hi girls.

They ignore him and carry on talking and messing around

Hi! Chris around, is he?
Kelly Does it look like it! (Sarcastically) I mean can you see him!

She exaggerates looking around for him with her hand on her forehead. Shaza and Jodie join in

Shaza (pokes the side of her head with her index finger) Dur!
Gavin Well have you seen him then cos he told me to meet him here?
Jodie (irritably) Well he ain’t here, is he? Why don’t you go and look for him somewhere else!
Kelly Yeah somewhere else miles away!

The girls all laugh

Shaza And take your time, don’t hurry back!
Gavin No I think I’d better hang on. He did say to meet him here; I don’t wanna not be here when he turns up. He can get a bit, you know, nasty.
Shaza Well can you wait over there, then, we’re talking here.
Kelly Yeah, private stuff!
Jodie It ain’t for your sensitive ears.
Shaza He wouldn’t understand anyway!

She wiggles her little finger and all three of them crack up
