Script Sample

VOICE 1 There comes a point in your life when you have to make a decision. I have come to that point. I can't live my life like this. Not knowing. Not knowing where I came from, not knowing where I'm going. My life's been mapped out for me. But nobody asked me what I wanted or what I thought. Nobody asked my opinion. Nobody cares about me. I think it's time I took control of my life. Had a say.
VOICE 2 It's not easy being an Un-Person. We don't seem to exist between the ages of twelve and twenty. It's not fair. I don't know if any of the others think like me. I'm too frightened to ask. You can get into serious trouble if you don't toe the line. But I'm getting to the point where I don't care what happens to me. Something's got to change. Something's got to change.
VOICE 3 I think I'm going mad. Locked away like this. There must be more to life. What have we done to deserve this? What have we done?
VOICE 4 If we are the future, what hope is there?
VOICE 5 We are the Undead.

The last five speeches should be done in spotlights, straight out to the audience. After the "Undead", general lighting. Voice 6 addresses the group

VOICE 6 The time has come for all young people to stand up and be counted. It's time to rise up again and put a stop to the brutality and anonymity of our lives. We must make the Government see that we are people in our own right. Tear down the gates. Do whatever it takes to make them see that we have feelings too. We eat, sleep, we breathe. We are not automatons. We are human beings and demand to be treated as such.

The others applaud with cries of "You're right, yeh, etc."

VOICE 6 If you will all listen to me, I will lead you out of here. It can be done but you have to have faith. Faith in me and faith in yourselves. I can show you the way.
